We have higher property taxes and lower wages, poorer workers than most anywhere else in Texas and other states. New houses being built everyday. Now they are just growed up in weeds, unsold. In El Paso it's a fraud real estate market, created by the Mayor, builders, developers and Central Appraisal District. EVERYWHERE else in the country, including cities that have a lot more people, higher wages than El Paso, the homes sales, mortgage businesses are in the "toilet". And yet, our property taxes keep increasing EVERY year. How can that be?? How can it not be true in El Paso?? How can thousands of new houses, growed up in weeds, unsold, not be a scam?? "The Soldiers are a coming, the Soldiers are a coming". How many Soldiers can afford the $140,000,$200,000,$300,000 houses being built in El Paso????????

Gunslinger you are TOT. The majority of those soldiers that are coming to El Paso are going to be E4 or below they aren't going to be in the market for one of those faux adobe boxes with 3 sqft. of lawn or desert lanscaping.

Probably about half to 75% of the balance if they haave been to anyother place will be looking for the first opportunity to get the hell out of El Paso, especially when they figure out that Western Playland is the biggest attraction going within a couple of hundred miles.

The Zoo sucks, the mayor sucks, Wilson sucks (yuk), getting poleaxed by CAD, Stormwater, Schools that cannot teach despite being multi- million dollar palacial attestments to some dumb ass school board, but there is the Sun Bowl or how ever long it stays, there will be a new drive through mall named the FOUNTAINS ? In the middle of the desert- false advertising, there is Chico's which is worthy as is Roscoes and Mickey's & Carlos', oh yeah, there is the TRAM, by the time the soldiers arrive O'Rouke, Byrd and them other shitbirds will have finagled a way to tax us further for Trolley cars and they will try to get DISNEY to build another Theme Park probably straddling the Rio.

Yeah, big military market on the way, build more houses so that we can pay for them through higher utility rates, fees, taxes and fines.

Hey, I'm sure some of those houses look pretty darn fancy until the first 1" rain comes along.
