True that! How can any El Pasoan support Cornyn? He killed the Tiguas' casino operation as Texas Attorney General. Also, he hardly ever sets foot in our fair city and probably would need to dig out a map to find El Paso. The only Latinos he probably ever sees are the gardeners working at his mansion.

Rick Noriega won't be any better. Once politicians leave El Paso they only come back for photo shoots, let alone think about the best interests of El Pasoens.

You are wrong. Rick Noriega was here several months ago to attend the Black El Paso Democrats Awards dinner. I know, because I sat with him and his wife, Melissa. He has been here at least three times since then and, in fact, will hold a rally Saturday morning for El Paso Veterans and a get-out-the-vote rally tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. in Canutillo.

Noriega will be a VAST improvement over Big Bad John Cornyn, who has had his nose up Bush's rear-end for the past six years.

So what you're saying is that he's been back here for photo ops... as I stated. Nice. Thanks for supporting me.

And how many times has Big Bad John Cornyn been to El Paso for a photo op outside Fort Bliss or at Beaumont? And how many rallies has he attended ... at the EL PASO CLUB atop the Chase Bank building (with a $40 per head admission fee??)

What I'm saying is that any politician elected from here is simply going to Washington or Austin and won't look bad, unless they need a photo op or three during their re-election. I'm not saying that Cornyn is any better than Noriega. Just don't expect anything from any politician.

I've had lengthy conversations with Rick Noriega right here in El Paso and exchanged emails with him.
He has a strong interest in El Paso and will represent us and all of Texas very well in the Senate. Contrast that with Cornyn's unquestioning support of all things Bush over the past six years. In fact, when he ran for the Senate in 2002, Cornyn declared that he wanted to go to Washington "to advance the Bush agenda." Look where that has gotten us.

Well John Q,

What are Noriegas' stances on the following:

-Eliminating Taxes?
-The right to bear arms & conceal carry?
-Drilling for Oil with in the USA?
-Stance on abortion?
-Winning the war in Iraq?

If you had so many conversations with this man, then tell us where he stands on the above issues?
