The Governor supports the Anti-Nuclear Protesters. Does he also support those that broke the law and trespassed? Perhaps, he would also like someone to pee on his bushes? At least, those sacrified to get arrested will have 3 squares and a bed. Most likely the only roof over their heads since coming form New Jersey. This is going to turn out to be an "Occupy Vernon".(Oh wait, most residents of Vernon want the Plant to stay running). Okay, so 'BUY LOCAL' means importing protesters. I'm staying away from Brattleboro until things get a little more back to its unique order.

I was there and recognized many of those arrested as being from the area, and that 'area' includes Anyone in the 'Evacuation Zone', which FYI happens to span Three States and near a 4th. BTW no one was shown peeing today in any video, LIAR!

How long will this festering threat to BigOil's bottom-line be allowed to persist? This is unacceptable! Why don't BogOil's stooges in Congress DO SOMETHING?!?

Lived in Georgia, lived in Massachusetts. I tasted personally the difference in the electric bills. . The extra dough I was paying in Georgia went in whose pockets? What does Georgia not have enough of and is desperately pushing to build?

The 93 year old bag, who has repeatedly trespassed on private property, has been arrested numerous times without consequence; should be required to clean the toilets at the Vermont Welcome Center in Guilford for the traveling flatlanders.

As a rule here, it is extremely hard to tell who the pro and anti nukes are here. They play each other's roles here to make their opponents look bad.

Oversight Issues
United States

That is so interesting , gives us insight into the oversight issues Mr. Burns was blabbering about . What a ruse ! he sounds like an idiot saying that the problem was lack of oversight not lack of quality control .Any body understands that if the oversight stinks so does the quality control !. A Ruse to make the Pro Nuketards sound more stupider than they are ! Mr. Burns is an anti nuke in sheeps clothing and proably 100 years old !

Mike Mulligan wrote: That be some Vernon residences are hyping things up. Oh no mike! There were bonifide rumors, and the rumors said THOUSANDS were to show up at the Vernon school and TERRORIZE the CHILDREN!!!! Since 9/11 we have to take those seriously don't ya know!? So they ignored the fact that the anti's own web sites and chat etc. told folks the rally was to be at the Bratt Common and to go to the Putney Rd hq, and said nothing about any gathering in Vernon, and that the cops and the antis had talked and agreed to have an orderly and civilized march and planned mass arrest prior to the day. Vernon ignored all that and assumed that THOUSANDS of hippy terrorists could descend upon their children and so they had a serious LOCK DOWN on the school and kept the children protected from harm. Turns out that a mere TWO terrorist hippies did show up that day outside the plant's gate which is down short a ways from the school If I were a parent in Vernon I'd sue the town for that nuketarded idiocy! Parents who have to work and rely on their kids being in the school weekdays had to skip work and watch their youngsters when they should have been in school! It's rumored that Deb Katz is hiding out in a cave in Afghanistan when she isn't here spurring on her crazed fundamentalist terrorist followers, each of whom believe that in the afterlife they get to be the god of their own planet. Oops that's actually Romney's belief.

Considering the number of walkers that have been hit and killed in Brattleboro this year, the odds of being hurt while walking to the VY headquarters were probably a whole lot greater than being hurt by the power plant. Also, I figured the reason they walked to the headquarters was because they are too old to walk all the way to Vernon.

too old? I'm sure some of the oldest ones parked behind the Members Credit Union so to walk less but I witnessed most of the crowd of 1,100 people walking the whole 3 1/2 miles from the Common Under the trees in front of the old Book Press was a nice shady rest spot As for the ACTUAL danger of getting hit by a car if you're an anti-nuke marcher, that would be from a few certain road-raging nuketard scum like the one with the VT plate FGT311 - http://www.topix.com/forum/city/brattleboro-v...

The old ladies came is a separate car and they were dropped off and picked up... They also had two or three shuttle cars going back and forth between the commons and corporate all days long. They were passing out free bottles of water by the tons all day long also.

I thinks it's great to see such old folks still able and WILLING good use of themselves in whatever way they can for the community. It's one's Civil Duty to resist tyranny and evil in their community. More oldsters should take a lesson from their contemporaies and get active by doing what they can- voting* and standing up against injustice and corruption and evil folly like GMO Frankenfoods and Nukedom *voting for Ron Paul that is, which shows you're smart and you care, otherwise ewe're just a useless old fart who deserves the Death Panels written into ObamaCare!

Oops I made a mistake In #3 I was referring to the 50 mile Evacuation Zone and said it spans Three States and nearly a 4th, actually it spans Four and nearly a 5th Although that 5th, NY, doesn't have to worry much as long as the prevailing winds still tend to be to the east or southeast, which happens to be where the higher populations are, southern New Hampshire and Central Mass. The 75 mile Evac radius reaches the Boston area
