Who wrote this? An representative of the cable company? Don't cut back on cable or cell phone or internet???? Give me a break. That mentality of entitlement to everything now will be the downfall of many. If you can't make your mortgage payment, you certainly don't need the latest cell phone, high speed internet or premium cable! Geesh...

I really wasn't sure if I should trade in the "old" plane or get that 2nd vacation home I've been looking at? After reading this I bought a new Ipod instead.

If you can't make your mortgage, forget PREMIUM cable. You should be sticking a coathanger in the top of your tv since you should have NO cable.

And I'd bet that most people purchased the latest biggest flat screen tv's with their home equity loans in 2006 too!

That twisted coat hanger will no longer work after June 17th.
Having cable means you can entertain your family at home. Even if you purchase a recently released Pay Per View movie, it is only $4.99. An entire family can watch that movie for alot less than going to a movie theatre at $9.99 (or more) per adult ticket. You can make your own popcorn for far less than the $4.99 (or more) bucket in the theatre.

I can't afford the twisted coat hanger, the popcorn or the rental on a DVD. No new lipstick here. I'd like to thank thousands of real estate speculators who thought they could get rich without earning the money, the real estate agents in their leased BMW's, the slimy mortgage brokers, the banks, Wall Street scum and both of the Bush brothers for bringing us to where we are today.

"But a small splurge on red lipstick apparently helped to lift their moods, and they clung to that purchase."

Sales of booze was up then too, just as now.

Folks; When will you realize that you are not individuals, not citizens, you are "CONSUMERS". That is all you are worth to this society.

Once you stop buying junk you are no longer relevant in this society?

Think not?

Well think what was on your mind last time you passed the guy at the 408 on-ramp, with the cardboard sign reading "will work for food".

PLASTIC PEOPLE,,,OH BABY NOW YOUR SUCH A DRAG!!!
