If she was living in fear of dying the same way her sister did, she obviously wasn't in a good mental state. She can't blame anyone for her problems.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

This nation is just too damn sue happy. Does this mean that I can sue MGM or Universal just because a particular movie scared me. Or can I sue the city because the allowed bird to fly over the city which scares me because it reminds me of the movie, The Birds.

I wish that lady all the luck in the world in being compensated for her trauma, if only just to piss off the sad, bitter and twisted losers who can't go on with their lives at the thought of some kind of justice being meted out to Con Ed.

I hardly feel the need to point out that 99% of the comments here are probably posted directly from ConEd's offices themselves. Note the wide geographical variation in locations of posters, commenting on a New York story. This is the same Con Ed executive posting over and over again, using IP changing software like "Tor". I can even tell from the writing style.

You'll have your day in court, Con Ed - no need to post fraudulent comments in your favor.

What happened to New Yorkers being tough??? Mind you, I'm simpathetic for her loss on 9/11, but that was SIX YEARS AGO!!!! Get over it, or move out of urban life.

While I feel very sorry for the loss of her sister on 9/11, it has absolutely nothing to do with her case, so why mention it? For sympathy? As for her having PTSD, please. If she is that stressed, move to Montana and live a peaceful life in the middle of nowhere. I hope ConEd sends her a bill for the time spent by their l;awyers dealing with this.

My heart goes out to the victims families, but if you are having a hard time adjusting to the tragedy then do something about it. If I lived in New Orleans and constantly worry about hurricanes guess what I'd move. Same logic should follow with New Yorkers. You control your environment. I can't stand it when people complain about the local economy. Too many people want their cake and eat it to. You can't live in New York and not worry about attacks, live in New Orleans and not worry about floods, and live in a city with a failing economic city without loosing wealth. Quit expecting the government to protect you from everything just because some politician passed taxes and talked his/her way into to voting for him/her. Personal accountability and free market protection are much more reliable than big government.

Are you kidding, I understand your sister died and you are shook up but grow up. Things like pipes burting happens no need to get all stupid and sue people for no reason.

Oh, poor her-- she was traumatized; let's give her a million dollars! I don't think so!

BTW, I'm SOOOO sick right now of *some* of these so-called relatives of the 9/11 victims wah wah wahing about everything and using that event as leverage to get what they want.

Hey, guess what, losers? You can milk that "I Lost a Loved One on 9/11" gravy train all you want to win money and get special benefits and stuff, but you'd better be prepared for the backlash, because it's coming-- trust me. You're not going to be America's Darlings that much longer, where you can throw tantrums and expect us to come running to you because of your connection to 9/11. That ship is in dock, ready to set sail.

As for "William", I'm beginning to sense that this person is just a troll, having fun getting everyone angry here with his comments, because I'm having a hard time believing that someone as articulate as him could be that dumb.

I am with you. Yes 9/11 was horrible and yes we all grieve for everyone that was lost that day. But I am getting tired of the wah wahing as well. I am sorry for your loss, but my dad passed away a couple of days prior to that in a NYC hospital and there is no memorial being constructed for him and nobody was sending my family donations. Why? Because instead of playing the pity card, I mourned my father. End of story!

What a greedy f&&king heifer!!!! This woman is full of shi!. She does not give a bleep about holding ConEd accountable. You mean to tell me all of sudden because of this blast she is afraid. She didn't care about the other blasts since 9/11. This country is going to hell because of jack asses like her looking to get rich off of some so-called post traumatic 'diagnosis'. I WAS AT WORK 1 1/2 blocks away from the WTC when it was 'attacked' and subsequently fell. Yes, when I hear or see certain images I am affected and every now and then will have bad dreams, but I am not so low as to sue someone because they uh....fart too loud. Get some medication you $$$ grubbing wh0%3. I'm insulted. Why doesn't she file a class action suit on behalf of everyone who was traumatized in mid-town last week?

I think the courts should start fining people like this who sue over everything and anything, and then start fining the lawyers for actually taking these cases that have no merit. if we do that, the number of bs lawsuits would probably drop.

Attorneys need to stop chasing ambulances to try to convince people they have been wronged and they have a strong case
