Kevin thanks so much for your help. So there weren't any sections directly focusing on excel. It's just annoying going to take a test and not knowing what to brush up on. Oh yeah another thing was a speed typing part, did you encounter that?
ConEd usually gives there test in two parts, the technical and the aptitude. The technical is unique to the position you're applying for while the aptitude would be the same for everybody. What I mentioned earlier was about the aptitude...

You shouldn't be afraid of these exams. These assessment tests aren't there to trick you, ConEd just wants to see if you'd be able to fill the position. Considering the position you're applying for, I'm sure you would have a section testing your ability to use Microsoft office...

Anybody knows where Coned has it's medical tests conducted. I need to schedule an appointment but it all depends on the location. I have another job and can't call out.

At 4 Irving Place... It's close to Union Square... Be sure to give yourself at least 4 hours... I spent my entire morning in the office, about 3 hours of waiting and a hour for the check up

Were you scheduled for that class? When did you apply? When was your medical? I've been waiting since I did my medical in March. They supposedly place you on a wait list based on the date you applied. I'm trying to figure out when the most recent hires applied so that I can estimate how much longer of a wait I have.

Your right Irsa did confirm it's a 2 year waiting period. Hurricane sandy closed the school down for 4 months last year and made the wait longer. Remember that if when you are asked to take the medical it's only good for 120 days. If you are not called within that period you will have to go to medical again. As I said my medical expired in August. When the dept starts to hire again I will have to retake the medical.

Hi guys I have an interview this Saturday at 6;45am .. Does anyone know generally how long the interviews take ? I have class at 9am and the interview location is about an hour away from my school. Also how long after the interview do you get hired? What do they test for in the medical ? I still haven't taken my medical or anything yet?

Hey man it all depends on if you passed your interview. If you passed your interview you will be sent for a medical and if that goes well then you wait till you are called. Btw what position did you go for?
