Rick when did you interview? I did my interview in Sept and was told by the person escorting me out that I would hear something in 3-4 weeks. It's now been 3-4 months and nothing yet!

I haven't called. From what I've read here, your calls go to voice mail and no one responds. I don't know how many others where interviewed in Sept 2012. I just figured no news is good news.

Took my second medical the first week in December for CFR. Heard the urinalysis expires after 90 days so the call should be within 90 days after that. Still waiting, thought there might be a January class? When did you start the process?

I just passed the Written Driving & GUW test today. My father has been with Con Ed for almost 5 years & explained that the process if vigorous. He himself said he did not start until TWO years AFTER he passed the initial exam. As far as Con Ed providing information, if you can't handle them not holding your hand now you wont be able to hold your ground if offered a position, as my dad says. PATIENCE is key & NOTHING worth having comes easy. Sit tight. Good news is (not sure for which positions) that after Sandy Con Ed did not have enough workers so they are (supposedly) actually hiring now. I hope this information helps. Best wishes to ALL of you.

Took the written awhile ago possibly a year or two. It's been a long process for me because they stopped bringing in people for a bit. I took my interview and medical around jan/march of last year, just recently I had been called to take a second medical. I was told it can take up to 90 days before I start :(. Guessing I'm just waiting on classes to start now.

The math is the hardest part, if you are good with fractions and basic math you will be okay. It is my weakest subject & I passed. As long as you can read and comprehend at at least a high school level you will be able to pass. I honestly do not remember off hand or have my materials handy to tell you what each section has in it. Know North, South, East West, basic of gears. Perception, Memory, Reading Comprehension, Long & Short Passages, Punctuation & Capitalization, Correct use of words. My suggestion is to take a break in between each section if allowed, I would go to the restroom, pat my face with water give myself a pep talk calm my nerves and continue to the next section. Do not try to just sit there and go through the whole thing it can bring more stress. You are watching other people leave after not passing a section.
