Union approves new contract with NYC utility
Harry Farrell, President of Local 1-2 of the Utility Workers Union of America, said Wednesday that its membership voted by a margin of 93% to accept a new four year agreement with Consolidated Edison.Full Story

SHAME on those Con Ed workers who voted for this contract- which does away with traditional pensions for new hires. Instead of fighting back-you gave back. Your children and grandkids will look back and say: why didn't you stand up for us? A union & its membership should build on the past, and think of the future. But no, not you. Come next contract they'll demand even more - because they know that you won't stand up to them. Hang your heads in shame while you count the few extra bucks that you got.
