Louie, Its a six part exam and covers basic math and reading comprehension and various entry level mechanical questions, they grade each section as you are finished and if you fail you are out, not trying to scare you, but if 50 ppl are taking the test , about 20-25 will make it to the sixth and final part, all sections are timed. Its tough, but thats the hardest part of the whole hiring process, I have been with the company for 2 months so I just went through it all. Good lUCK!!

The hiring process generally takes 2-3 months in total (minimum). For everyone knows how ConEdison functions..it isn't fast! Union workers lol..go figure.

Can anyone help me with Con Ed interview? Took test for Heavy Equipment Operator Heavy. Was told there was like 50 questions such as:

Resonsibilty?
Agility?
ADA?
Tolerance?

Going for interview very soon. Has anyone gone thru this interview for Con Ed, it is a relaxed atmosphere or are you Grilled so to speak.

I just took the test for the second time this morning. Can't seem to get past the math fast enough! Is there a practice test to take or something like that. That I can study?

How do you sign up for ConEd exams? I took one to be a meter reader years ago (my friend submitted my resume but he's no longer with the company), but I never see them posted anywhere. Where should I look? Good Luck on the test man.

I took and passed the G.U.W. test just about a year ago (Nov '08) and have not even been called back for an interview! I heard the freeze would be over this month (Oct '09) but still nothing. Please post back if you are hired. There are a lot of people I know still waiting. THANKS!
