Con Ed Workers Threaten Strike
#1 Jun 26, 2008
typical compny trying to fatten thier pockets while the working person is the one who suffers. thier ceo got a 26% raise, while the company made over 1 billion in profit last year. this is a shame espically in times like this. it is the workers who make the executives rich why not negotiate in good faith. i have a friend who works for edison and if he goes out for 9 weeks like the last strike, it will be his three kids who suffer. he said they wont get unemployment or even have medical benefits while on strike

Go on Strike! with all the record profits these companies have posted they need to learn to share with the people who keep the grid up and running! And with any luck, the poor attention they've paid to the infrastructure, will cause a massive power failure and the CEO can get his hard hat out and splice a cable, while the workers watch and laugh.
