Queens: Brief Power Failure in Flushing

A malfunction in overhead power lines caused a 58-minute power failure yesterday afternoon that affected 968 residential and business customers in Flushing, a Consolidated Edison spokesman said. via New York Times

If we add this to the blackouts in Astoria, it is obvious that the electrical grid there needs a little boost. These are just residential areas with lots of commerce, but not enough to cause this problem.
