I live in Astoria, and not far from the report on today's News4NY at 6.
While I wasn't directly effected by that blackout, I found that ConEd's response to it was poor.

I also found the City's response by contrast to be perfect. The police were extremely polite, and very professional.

But the way ConEd responded resounds in the way that exists as extremely unproffessional, and poor to worse.

Tell Con Ed that $500 per person residential and reimbursement for business losses + a % fee for commercial establishments is a little more realistic..Or free power for 3 months, or something much more substantial is in order.
