A highly recommended site is elfingo.com for online auctions. They are the new ebay. Many smaller sites like this offer buyers far better deals than ebay ever could. Buyser also save a ton because this site charges little or nothing depending on the day. One more reaso I like elfingo.com is because they don't take a part of the sale at all. No commissions or final value fees. A+++ http://www.elfingo.com

I am a former ebayer and I am mainly into buying/selling vintage baseball cards but I do have a small collection of GI Joes. I signed up for this new website which will be offering storefronts (secure buy/sell via BIN/Best Offer).

Its basically a myspace meets craigslist and ebay. Unlike other networking websites this one is really easy to use. I've been able to easily upload pics, videos etc. The best part is the buy/sell feature that will be up in 2 weeks. It is totally free.

Former ebayer??? Since when??? You are still selling on ebay....lol...ebay has made a major well several major mistakes, but many years of advertising has brought them to success, so it will be many years before any of these fledgling auctions will take off, most will fonder and die. Ebay will correct their wrongs and get it back in line soon........

iOffer.com !!!

Ebay did not only get rid of bad sellers, they lost a lot of good ones too. I still have an ebay account but have closed my store and will never buy or sell there again.

They forget, they started small and who is it that helped them grow? Many of the people who are now leaving.

the other places are fledglings now but they will grow, maybe not over night but they will grow and by the time ebay figures it out, who's going to want to go back.

This is my auction site, http://www.homeschoolresources.thruhere.net/ powered by the Kaqoo network. I have been using it successfully for some time. I have many dozens of previous buyers from ePay that now go there to get my educational books for sell. You will have a built in buyer audience not just from my site but your listing will go out on hundreds of other Kaqoo partner sites around the world.
What does it offer?
Well free listings, free gallery, free picture hosting, and more free stuff. FVF only 2.5% no matter what it sells for. And I will give you some virtual money to cover the minimal upgrades like a nickel for Featured item, Bold, and others.
Come check it out, it's free to register, free to list. If it never sells you never pay anything. It is geared towards home schooling and educational books but you can sell any book you want there.

Ebays days are numbered. Stock is dropped again to below $29.00 a share.....

It will continue to drop as Ebay tries to get the egg of their face. John Donahoe really screwed up Ebay. I hope he enjoys falling flat on his face.

I wish you were on the right track "EBAY DOLLARS",but the writing is on the proverbial wall. Ebay has changed the rules so that any honest buyer is at the beckon call of both buyer and eBay. And what is totally poor about the system is that while the weasels at ebay sit back and collect your money at no risk, they are totally invisible and perform next to nothing in services for the seller. It's not a question about the chicken and the egg,for it is obvious that sellers must exist first in order for there to be any buyers. And the only way for buyers to sit in any position of power is to form a union and revolt against the weasels at eBay. They play the fiddle and make the seller dance to any whimsical tune they decide to play upon it. I love the way they presented themselves as giving the seller a great gift by giving a free gallery listing when they just recently changed their fees, but the left hand of god slyly shifted the mirrors and incresed the final value fee along with charging for the second category. And why is it that overseas addresses of buyers are considered uncomfirmed addresses that are not covered by paypal protection? If a person is registered at UK ebay,his/her adderess is confirmed at that site, which I consider part of the eBay community. Now try and defend your your precious ebay!

I left eBay completely. I have my own site set up and it is doing extremely well. I sell more now than I ever did on ePay and for a lot less money too. I am now offering free listings, half of the features are free, the others are way cheap and for the July 4th Holiday if you sign up you get $10.00 credited to your account to go to all fees including final value fees (which is only 1.5% regular) so now you can list for free. With over 20,000 subscribers in the network it is sure to soon pass up eBay and their policies to let buyers hold sellers hostage and let the scammers control the ePay world.

Ebay is a malicious, evil, horrible very fascist corporation. They remove honest sellers and allow beasts to scam on their site. I had 3000+ positive feedback and was suspended every week for a new reason when I MADE listings ( not when I BOUGHT)- I will no longer sell on their malicious and evil website for criminal sellers!

I am from Asia and a new seller here on Ebay. I find the final fee is rediculous. EBAY is such a manipulative company who took advantage of the situation because they think they are the suprimacist. I hope that another auction site will topple this company because they i will move all my stuff. Is there any auction out there that have come close to this company because i am moving right away? let me know. thanks.

Ebay sucks and they never "correct" anything - they only make it worse while charging more. Paypal sucks also.

Online auction seems to be the next best thing so far- but it is still weak in sales compared to Ebay. I have sold thousands of items for 8 years on ebay, but I am done with them. It looks like OnlineAuction at least actually sells some things that get listed.
