WHY THE PRECIPITOUS DROP IN THE STOCK IN THE PAST 10 DAYS ? SINCE THE VOLUME HAS BEEN DOUBLE OR MORE THAN DOUBLE ,I HAVE TO ASSUME THERE IS MUCH INSIDER TRADING GOING ON. AS A STOCKHOLDER , I RESENT THE LACK OF HONESTY OR DISCLOSURES ABOUT DOM.

My name is Matt and I live in southwestern Virginia.
Dominion power plans to build a coal fired power plant 3000 yards from our school. St. Paul's school contains the pre-K through high school, students from 4 years old up to seniors.
Whether you think global warming is real or not the fact is the pollution does exist. Dominion Power's draft permit outlines the pollutants in tons per year. Here is what will be emitted directly onto our children from Pre-K through High school.
Potential pollutant emissions from the proposed Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center:
PM (filterable particulate matter) 340.9 tons
PM-10 (total filterable & condensable 366.0 tons
particulate matter ≤ 10 micron diameter)
PM-2.5 (total filterable & condensable 359.3 tons
particulate matter ≤ 2.5 micron diameter)
Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) 3,369.1 tons
Nitrogen Oxides (NOX) 1,970.6 tons
Carbon Monoxide (CO) 4,133.8 tons
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) 139.1 tons
Sulfuric Acid Mist 137.2 tons
Hydrochloric Acid 181.1 tons
Hydrofluoric Acid 12.9 tons
Lead 0.435 tons
Mercury 0.037 tons
As a community we are screwed.... Period!
Coal doesn't come out of a hole, around here they practice "Mountain Top Removal". Thats right, they just blow the whole darn mountain up and extract the coal.
1/4 of Wise county has been destroyed by MTR, 1/3 is under permit to be.
Chances are when you turn on a light in most of the U.S. its from a power plant fueled by coal. Coal mined in my back yard.
On January 8th I spoke in front of the SCC and voiced my concerns. Around 300 people filled 2 court rooms, I understand 29 people spoke in favor of the plant.
We already have one power plant just 8 miles up the river. The Clinch river plant in Carbo is ranked one of Virginia's biggest polluters. 59 deaths per year can be attributed directly to the Carbo plant. Now we get the honor of having a second. They claim this will be a "clean coal" power plant. They say it has the ability to use "carbon sequestering" technology. People, carbon sequestering is unproven and does not exist at this time. Even if it is half as clean does it mean costing 25 people 's lives are acceptable? The heavy metals (lead and mercury) will settle with in miles of the plant. Our school is so near and directly in the path of the falling particulates.
I would ask all my neighbors living throughout Virginia to stand in solidarity with us in condemning the actions of Dominion power and The Wise county board of supervisors.
I have a widgit on my myspace page where YOU can see how you are connected with the MTR and death of my community.
