FACTBOX-Deepwater rigs moved out of the Gulf of Mexico
Some of the 30-plus deepwater rigs that were in the Gulf of Mexico have moved to other markets, first because of a U.S. halt called in May 2010 after BP Plc's well blowout, and then because of the lack of permits in the months after the moratorium was lifted.

Gulf of Mexico easier for U.S.based drilling owners ,and labor,in which to work.Fewer logistical hassles and less travel for labor.Obama's obvious wise move would be to facilitate U.S. Gulf of Mexico drilling,rather than passively acquiesce to it.And the U.S. unemployment problem is the pink elephant in the room.
