This marijuana crap is wayyyyyyyyy out of control, and personally I don't think legalizing marijuana is going to resolve anything for the state. There are sooooo many people from all over the states coming to Cali, and why....
because us Californians don't know how to shut our mouths about something that has been going on for years, but now has become nothing but an out of control drug dealing state!!!!
These younger generations have ruined everything! There is no respect anymore, and these kids and alot of adults think growing/selling is ok and they don't need to go to school or have a real tax paying job anymore. It's just really sad!!!

I agree with you Ukiah Mama. It is sooo out-of-control and is ruining our once fine county. The only people who will want to live here are the dope heads and with them comes all their crap, crime, panhandling, disrespectful ways. If I was once sympathetic; I am now disgusted and want them to go away!

It has nothing to do with my attitude, because I have a medical marijuana card for my own personal use but I also work a fulltime job. See I'm not ignornant or nieve when it comes to comments or facts put out there, my family has been here for over 55 years and we have all seen/heard the changes as well as the crime rates just sky rocket!!

Bust these big illegal growers who take their money and open up hydroponics (spelling?) shops, or little import-crap shops on School St. or overpriced Thai joints. I'm tired of it all.
The SO needs to grow some ballz and just arrest these people.

Since when is it good business sense to do a $100 illegal transaction on the side of the highway in an area known for drug production, sales and trafficking? These people deserved to get busted.. If the dope world would hand out Darwin Awards, these folks should get one.

As for meth.. Its bad everywhere folks.

Crime rates tend to rise when the economy is down not because of marijuana laws.

I agree that crime rises when the economy fails. Having worked for the Mendocino County Health Department AODP division when the timber industry bit the dust. There was a higher rate of alcohol related arrests and more domestic violence. It had nothing to do with MMJ. Unfortunately there isn't any jobs to make enough money to support your family so a lot of people have turned to growing the herb. You would be surprised to find out how many common decent hard working folks do it in this county. My grand father was a small time Moon Shiner during prohibition days. That was to feed his big family. You would be surprised at how many stills were out in the hills and mountains from the prohibition and big depression era. History repeats itself....
