Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment recently announced that their first-generation non-Disney Vault line of animated features on DVD & Blu-Ray Disc was being created around spring 2012 - which was being titled as most likely called the "Walt Disney Special Editions" line. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is finally terminating their policy of putting any more home video releases of Disney's animated features around March 30, 2015, escaping the following 15 of its animated feature films from the "Disney Vault".

* "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937)
* "Pinocchio" (1940)
* "Fantasia" (1940)
* "Bambi" (1942)
* "Cinderella" (1950)
* "Peter Pan" (1953)
* "Lady and the Tramp" (1955)
* "Sleeping Beauty" (1959)
* "101 Dalmatians" (1961)
* "The Jungle Book" (1967)
* "The Little Mermaid" (1989)
* "Beauty and the Beast" (1991)
* "Aladdin" (1992)
* "The Lion King" (1994)
* "Fantasia 2000" (2000)

These will finally be available in all of its U.S. fine retailers anywhere, beginning in-between the first four years: 2013-2016, but'll last as long as they want and are no longer being part of the "Disney Vault", terminating Walt Disney Studios' policy of putting any more DVD or Blu-Ray Disc releases of all 15 of Disney's animated features around March 30, 2015. The last Disney Vault line of animated features on home video was called the "Walt Disney Diamond Editions" line, finally releasing four more of Disney's animated feature films each year, but'll each last only for a limited-time period of 2 years each before entering moratorium and also putting back to the Disney Vault, each year by the 15th of March. Aladdin isn't part of the "Walt Disney Diamond Editions" line either, and it'll only be available for a limited-time period between fall 2012 and spring 2013, before entering moratorium and putting back to the Disney Vault in March 15, 2013 (along with Bambi, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast).

"Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs" wasn't released again on DVD & Blu-Ray Disc until June 10, 2013, which becomes the same day as "Beauty & The Beast" marks the only Disney animated feature-length film to be released three months after its unavailability. "Aladdin" won't get released again on DVD & Blu-Ray Disc until June 14, 2016, and "Fantasia"/"Fan tasia 2000" won't get released again on DVD & Blu-Ray Disc until June 21, 2016. These animated feature-length films were being part of the "Walt Disney Special Editions" line of over 40 of Disney's animated features on DVD & Blu-Ray Disc.

According to some of the staff from The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will finally release approx. 4 more of Disney's animated feature films under their "Diamond Edition" banner each year for 2 more years, but these films will be available for a limited-time period of only 2 years each before they would enter Disney's moratorium of general availability by around c. 2014/2015, and would remain unavailable for a limited-time period of either 3 or 6 months before being released again on each of these 2 years, but for the first time ever as entire issue forms; for example, both "Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs" and "Beauty & The Beast" were finally being re-issued in June 11, 2013, "Aladdin" was finally being re-issued in June 14, 2016, and a two-disc special edition of "Fantasia"/"Fan tasia 2000" is finally being re-issued in June 21, 2016. As its result, the "Walt Disney Diamond Editions" line is finally becoming their final line of its home video releases of animated features that are entering Disney's moratorium on general availability, which was just before the "Disney Vault" was being discontinued by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment around March 30, 2015; in fact, just 15 days after the last four of its animated feature films from the "Walt Disney Diamond Editions" line is being put back to the Disney Vault.

Please note that these 30 animated theatrical feature-length film spin-offs will use Toon Boom Animation's Harmony software with animation remaining traditional hand-drawn with computer-animated techniques being combined.
