Now that the presidential election and all those state and local proposals have been voted on, it's time to start thinking about the 2013 Detroit mayoral election.

It's still too early to get excited.
Bing has a chance since he's the incumbent, but might not run.
Pugh has a following and will run because his ego demands it.
Benny may be too timid to run and could be content to stay put.
Lisa, Geoffrey and Fred are merely honorable mentions.
Duggan has made too many moves not to run. He thinks of himself as the Great White Hope. It did not work for Jerry Quarry either.

In the end, Duggan will still be too white to win anything. He formulated the sale of DMC before it went broke on its own.
Judge Greg Mathis is quite popular around here and he supports Benny Napoleon. He is working to get Benny to make the decision to run.
People want change and almost anybody but Bing. This favors Benny and makes Pugh a distant second.
