Really? Is this true? Why do you think J&J is getting rid of DePuy orthopaedics? I think there is a reason behind. I hope it will be unconvered anytime soon.

Hello, so why JNJ is getting rid of DePuy? Well, isnt this an concession for the European Antitrust Comission? As i was reading these days, JNJ will sell DePuy to Biomet for 200 and something milion $. That is a great strategy for JNJ, they got Synthes which is much more stonger in the market, has more brevets and it will generate more profit by the sinergy effect. In my opinion this is a new conglomerat, but good for them, were very smart.

In relation to this, hip problems are a growing concern worldwide. Good thing that DePuy Hip Replacement Recall has finally been implemented by its manufacturer, Johnson&Johnson (J&J). J&J have been charged with numerous lawsuits by their clients, legal specialists say. They were the ones affected by the failures and defects (e.g. fractures, displacements, loosening) of DePuy devices. See http://www.depuyhipreplacementlawsuit.com for related discussion

It's a good thing that J&J has getting rid of DePuy Orthopaedics but I hope that they will still take responsibility to all the patients who have been harmed by DePuy's defective hip replacement implant. Many are hoping that Synthes Inc. will be far more good than DePuy and that they will submit to all regulations to promote efficient and safe-guarded products.
