Private prisons do nothing to stop or reduce recidivism. They are in the business of making money plain and simple. Most of the people in prison simply need a chance to succeed with a job and a life. If they had a job they become taxpayers instead of a burden on taxpayers. Several organizations are available to help with this. Hope - Does drug treatment and housing, in several states. Corrisoft has a tremendous success rate in lowering recidivism, helping with employment, education, housing and monitoring of inmates. They have been able to bring the 43% recidivism rate in Kentucky down to single digits. There are answers if leaders would just look at them.

U.S. citizens are being setup by government to be poor, and then to remain poor. Then, these government-setups tear families apart — sending them to state institutions. From whatever the children and adults suffer in the institutions, they may move forward through life working passively) as adults, or their aggressiveness or retaliation toward government-setups may propel them to prisons. Read the case of Lofton vs. School Board Members of LAUSD. Then read the testimonies of “Tracy” and “Steven,” survivors of government institutions, at:
