The global oil industryA's response to a presentation of GreeceA's hydrocarbon indications at a recent exhibition in Houston, Texas, was at first surprise and then interest, according to the president of the Hellenic Hydrocarbon Management Company, Sofia Stamataki.

In my day anyone looking for hydrocarbon prospects in a forearc terrane would be blacklisted out of the entire industry as a result of "looking in a thermally immature region".
Funny thing is that the first recorded oil basin (Azerbaijan) is in just such a forearc terrane.
In my case however I was blacklisted out of the entire industry as a result of going to university & passing my exams during a time of "hostile takeover" during the time of the UK Labour party in office (1998-99 M.Sc Imperial college). In that year the selection criteria involved first & foremost a sponsorship from the company AND a prior stay @ a private fees paying boarding school prior to the sponsored university course.
The Blairite "slavery in sympathy with Africa" got very short shrift, despite initial trickery by them & an attempt @ enforcement later. Interesting to find also that the Blairite slaver organisations changed their logo & attempted the same under the coalition. The extreme right wingers as a result are absolutely furious about the breach of the Wilberforce anti slavery laws as exemplified by the Cate Reilly vs. random temp agency case last year. The REAL thing that causes the extreme right wingers to lose their rag though is to call them "communist" (which is what they were before the current UK coalition got into power.
End result is that my career remains history, IQ,s dropped VERY sharply in the UK civil service (look @ the environment agency under control of a Labour party lord), & I continue to have my house for sale & emigrate to France despite the objections from BOTH generations of slavers targeting geological scientists as priority #1 for induction to enforced career change involving hard physical labour without pay.
Oops: almost forgot... The labour party's finest still call me climate change There appears to be @ least a partial link to the Envoronment agency under Labour party control.
The 80% of the labour party controlled by the Unite union have apparently called me something else after I left the last temp agency under their control @ influence. This silly name calling got 2 families in social housing thrown out of their rentals as a result of refusal to divulge the written source of the silly names they called me while vandalising the garden. It appears to have been a hangover of the attempt by the temp agencies to enforce servitude by slandering the temps that leave the agency in order to drain their finances to the point of absence of jobseekers allowance followed by enforcement by unite affileiated civil servants into the local temp agency cluster. Suffice it to say that despite the slander I am neither child molester, OR foot fetishist, & legal action remains pending prior to written evidence of libel being found with a name of libel monkey to attach the case to. Damages for lack of earmnings alone would be a 7 figure sum (before the decimal point) by now.
Have a nice day: Ag
