Brazil fines Chevron $5.4m for oil spill
Brazil has fined US oil giant Chevron $5.4m (£3.5m) for breach of its environmental license when it tackled an oil spill in November. Brazil's Ibama environmental agency said Chevron lacked the necessary equipment and was slow to respond. In recent years Brazil has discovered billions of barrels of oil in deep water that could make it one of the world's top five producers. But to date there has been little debate about the environmental risks of offshore drilling.
Rex Tillerson CEO Exxon Mobil created the MWCC for the answer to control blow outs after the BP giant spill. It was a con then but our Federal Government bought in. Since BIG OIL signed off on the MWCC plan Conoco Philips has been run out of China, Chevron is on the outs in Brazil and Shell is fighting a blow out in our Gulf of Mexico close to the BP disaster zone.
We must understand and be doubtful of believing anything that BIG OIL circulates as the TRUTH.
