Well, I'll be.... the DEA fines a corporation. What were the motives in investigating CVS and not, say, Walgreen's? How do they justify a $75 million fine for $2.6 million in profits? Well, at least it seems the DEA uses the same questionable tactics fining corporations as they do individuals. The "crime's" worth/profit is a pittance compared to the $75 million fine. Sadly, such actions only mean price increases for consumers as prices are upped to pay for such fines. More details, please? How did CVS not comply with DEA requirements? Were they guilty of actually selling the stuff, or just not having a "database" to track it?? Big difference.

Another example of government intruding into businesses and industries because they are such failures at their own jobs (DEA).

Why should the industry monitor at ALL ! the purchase of cold medicnes simply because they COULD be used to make meth....ridiculous entirely in their premise....a savage beating of more constitutional rights...simply because they are so desperate and can't come close to addressing the problem at all.

Makes me sick..

It was a decongestant before it was a meth ingredient. Has meth actually been stopped or even slowed by this type of law? All it does is make life difficult for law abiding people during allergy and cold seasons. Remember Mr. President, if you outlaw cold medicine then only outlaws will have cold medicine.
