Does anyone know the pay scale for the different positions in the pharmacy?

How long does one have to take and pass the PTCB test?

What are the repercussions if you don't pass?

I worked at CVS in Ohio for 3 years. I make 9.35 an hour as a Pharmacy Technican. Lead Tech makes 30 cents more so 9.65, PSA will make basically Min. wage (Ohio)

CVS does not require you to take the PTCB test. If you wish to become lead technician, then you are required. As for just a technician, you do not have to take the test.

The national test is paid for once by CVS. It basically goes over laws, conversions, Sig codes, top 200 drugs, Drug drug interactions on certain medications, and inventory. If you fail the test, you can take it as many times as you want. However, CVS will only pay for the test once.

They used to give you a 500 dollar bonus if you passed the PTCB... But the union took that out.
