So typical. The Feds are so ineffective in shutting down the ACTUAL criminals that make meth that they go after drug stores and hold press conferences touting their war on drugs to justify their paychecks.Their elated "we'll show you!" quotes make CVS appear to be part of the outlaw nation. Fining CVS $77 million is cowardly and just stinks.

And here I thought if we just voted for Prop 19 all this would go away!

Gee Whiz, it looks like legalizing pot won't make a dent in the illegal drug trade.

2.8 million in profits, yea right, more like 150 million, thus they agreed to the 77 mil fine, makes for a nice profit for CVS.

Great fine CVS and put the company at risk of major layoffs. While the war on drugs is being lost with the cartels, this was an easy target. Good job DEA.

Right, Spike - they made $150M profit from pseudoephedrine sales. Oh I get it - you're just being a whiney lib fighting against the evil capitalist corporations.

Hey lucky for you prop 19 will pass, and you can remain stoned out of your mind 24/7.

We should be up on the border fence with .50 caliber machine guns, but that isn't politically correct, so the cartels will continue to flood this country with drugs.

Sounds like extortion and the DEA are masters at that! This rogue agency composed of sadists and cowardly sociopaths needs to be disbanded immediately and the money they wast used elsewhere!

The DEA has to do something to justify the billions of dollars wasted on the "war on drugs" effort. Americans love drugs! Sad, but true.

CVS will use this against the employees.. they will cut hours (even more than they have) do layoffs..this is a very employee unfriendly company as it is and they will make the employees suffer even more. rules are rules and CVS broke them.. but, the blame lies at the CEO level. all this company is interested in is numbers. they got their numbers all right, and now they have to pay.. oh well, payback is a bitch..
