They seem to be embarking on a new business model, using small cities as focus cities. Trenton N.J. airport is getting quite e few new flights and the airport being in a large catchment area could generate enough business to make this modest project work while keeping away from the legacy carriers at large hub airports. Its something like Allegiant airlines, small cities with several flights per week but the rapid build up of Trenton is somewhat of a surprise. They may sense a narrow window to get established ahead of any other carrier starting service.
Not too many airports with no commercial service in large population areas but a few are out their and some with only one carrier.
The New Haven,Ct airport was listed as the most under served airport in the country a few years ago and the Worcester,Ma airport are two airports in large population areas with minimal service.
Frontier may be on to something.
