It would be great if the channels they offer are worth viewing. HD auto auctions, anorexic runway models, dog whisperer marathons, are not exactly HD worthy.

Seems to me that VZ has already announced this. Looks like just a "me too" from CV. HD is included in VZ's package, so why are they making such a big deal about theirs being "free?"

Every tv provider is. I looked into switching to directv the other day and priced a similar package to what i have now with IO. To get all the channels I currently have now, i'd have to pay $20/month more than Im currently paying. Go ahead and figure it out yourself. If any one company was so much more expensive than the others, no one would be using them. Seriously, their prices are all very similar.

What about us cable customers without HD? How about showing us some love Mr. Dolan!!! You have been holding us hostage for decades now that Direct TV and Verizon are crapping where you eat you decide to offer a few free channels to a small percentage of your customers. You TOOL!!! By the way, just so everyone knows those old antennas on your roof ARE capable of receiving HDTV signals for FREE. You do not need a HDTV antenna, antennas have no way to tell regular broadcast and HDTV signals dispite what the morons at RadioShack tell you.

Screw cable, screw Verizon, screw satellite OTA (over the air) tv is free look into it yourselfs

the free part means that the box yo need to get digital tv or digital plus HD are the same cost. verizon charges extra for the HD box.

Many if not all of the HD channels are simply HD versions of channels available to the regular subscribers

"The price of Cablevision's digital set-top box and the set-top box required for access to the high-definition channels is the same."

Lies, lies and more lies.

There is NO EFFIN REASON for "i-owe" or the STB except CV decided to gouge subscribers and scramble all of its digital content.

Any class action attorney want to make some nice coin?
