I guess I should contact the city for some cash myself. I was laid off by citrix just recently.

Well, I think it's about time the city formally recognized that there's not a whole lot about South Florida that's intrinsically attractive to talented professionals without a presence like Citrix. This program is a good start on that recognition, but you know it's only a drop in the bucket compared to what Citrix actually contributes to the local economy overall.
Anyone who's got a problem with a business actually getting rewarded for staying in South Florida and making the city money (tax revenue, anyone?) instead of relocating wholesale to an area more friendly to its industry (e.g., Silicon Valley) clearly has a problem with people being able to make a decent living. |
