I've applied to both UC Berkeley and UI Urbana-Champaign.
I got into UIUC's (Computer Science (CS) Major).
I still have to wait for UC Berkeley's Acceptance/Rejection letter.
Now, thanks to Intel and Microsoft, students at UCB and UIUC can research more by utilizing more resources.
Thanks for the article NBC11.
A major issue is the decline of demand towards the CS major.

I currently attend Mira Loma High School, but the problem is that they don't offer any CS courses.
By reading the pdf above, you'll notice that "37,000 high schools in the US but only 19,000 students take the AP CS exam".
Now that there are more resources, I strongly encourage high school students to consider Computer Science.
I didn't know that it would be my major at first, but after trying out the USA Computing Olympiad and the American Computer Science League, I knew it instantly.
Check it out my Computer Science Club website, Tera.Club.Googlepages.Com .
TERA stands for Technological Engineering of Runtime Applications. I started this club last year as a response to the decline in CS majors. I've been teaching a non-credit AP Computer Science course after school every friday since then. Sadly next year, I will be gone and there will be no-one to teach the course. If anyone out here on the internet thinks they can possibly teach the course, email me at tera.club@gmail.com.
Once again,
THANK YOU INTEL AND MICROSOFT!
