searching for "Made in the USA"

Was out furniture shopping this weekend, and came across a Sumter bedroom set that I REALLY liked. However, after asking, I found out from the floor salesman that this furniture line is now imported. How disappointing! I was looking for an American-made quality product, and was willing to pay (AMERICANS!)for the labor behind it... I'm sick of the "Made in China" labels and what that means to my country! After finding out that Sumter is part of the Chromcraft-Revington company, I resent that they felt it necessary to take their resources elsewhere, so even though it wasn't my favorite, I guess I'm getting that other bedroom set I found in Amish country after all... I'd rather pay them than someone over seas.

I have a 35 year old sumter bedroom set - still love it. The import furniture even from the best brand names are junk. Harden still makes several of their products in the US from sustainable forests. Great quality!
