Recently, a job offer from COSTCO appeared from my mailbox, after filling up necessary forms attached on it, a work permit and visa requirements form were sent to me. at this point, they were asking me usd800.00 processing fee for the working permit. it came from a certain Ambrose G. Williams (SJD), an immigration lawyer from Immigration Centre, Harper Woods, Michigan. The procesing fee, he said, should be remitted to a certain Mr. Leo Sean also from Immigation centre in michigan. At this point, i havent paid yet the amount asked until a confirmation of such offer from Costco is verified. Would someone could help me to verify this from COSTCO?
I need an answer very urgent.
thank you.

ambrose williams is a bogus name, its an alias, richard galanti is a drop name to encourage prospect job hunter, to victimize people of USD800.00. Mr. Galanti has nothing to do with this scam, he has been used also. Behind this job scamming are mostly NIGERIANS,

I personally called Costco and spoke to RichardGalanti assistant. This is a scam being investagated by the FBI. Richard Galanti is the CFO and is not the head of the HR dept and does not do any of the hiring, Looking objectively at the letter that was sent to my cousin in the Philippines the job is better than any job offer I have ever seen. 8 weeks vacation? 500.00 per month car allowance? heck I've been w/ my compnay over 27 years and do not have those benifets!

You have to sue them, and contact the FBI to get onto a list of victims if indeed it turns out to be criminal, which in nature it seems that it is.

If your in Damascus then chalk this up to experience. USA is full of corruptors and all these new immigrants can be taken advantage of... and by a lawyer? what a shocker!

Good luck

Ambrose William and Leo Sean are BOGUS, SCAM, FRAUD and UNKNOWN.
they've got no profile whatsoever.
they're using Costco to extort hard-earned money to those who are dying to work overseas..
information is handy, just right at the tip of your fingertips, don't get lured, search and destroy them.
BE AWARE, BE WISE and don't get lured by easy money!

I got same experience with Tobi. Got a job offer from COSTCO thru email, after filling up necessary forms attached on it, a work permit and visa requirements form were sent to me. at this point, they were asking me to pay USD800.00 processing fee for the working permit. it came from a certain Atty. Mark Anderson Jr. of Canadian Immigration Lawyers, of Danforth Ave., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The procesing fee, he said, should be remitted to a certain Ms. Carol Downing also of Canadian Immigration Lawyers. At this point, Im still waiting for a confirmation from COSTCO particularly Mr. Richard Galanti. I need an answer very urgent.
thank you.

hi, LCT of Manila. may i ask if u were able to communicate with Atty. Mark Anderson Jr. and made confirmation? i have a job offer from Couche-Tard, Canada and i am being asked to send a document to him before the company sends me the original employment agreement. i'm having doubts if the job offer is legit because of the high salary. the position is just an administrative support staff. thanks.

The same lawyer was referred to me - Attorney Mark Anderson Jr. We tried calling the number he indicated but there was no answer, not even a voice mail. We also tried checking the address 1180 Danforth Ave. Toronto, Ontario M4J 1M3 Canada. No "Canadian Immigration Lawyers" agency was found with that address. His name came up, when I applied for a job advertisement under Best Jobs Philippines for an opening in Toronto. I e-mailed my resume to the address indicated-n.universalstaffing@ yahoo.ca c/o Ms Dorothy Reid,
Universal Staffing Network Inc. 3416 Dundas St W Suite 203 Toronto, ON , M6S 2S1..6 days after,i got confirmation that my CV had been accepted by a client, but this was sent by another agency -Mrs Irene McWilliams,Global Placement Services Inc. 7025 Tomken Road, Suite #231, Missisauga, Ontario, L5S 1R6, Canada. i received another email giving me ALREADY a job offer from Alimentation Couche-Tard, Canada from a certain HR professional by the name of Mr Kim J. Trowbridge (pls take note that he is not an HR professional but already the VP for Operations of Western Canada Area in their website). They will be asking you to fill up an application form, sent together with full history of Couche-Tard and the list of job openings. Afterwards, you will already receive a contract and they will be asking you to fill up a bio data that was going to be used for working visa processing. they have not asked me for any money, but i can assume that they will be doing that after i submit the document. the offer was too good to be true, and you will really be tempted to grab the opprotunity. I believe that this is a scam. a friend of mine based in canada will check and visit the addresses indicated. You may also note that the email address they use is not of Couche-Tard, but just a yahoo mail. I hope no one will be fooled by this.

Hi DG of Mandaluyong, I just received an e-mail exactly the same as the one you described. Also the processed of how I am being e-mailed by them is exactly the same, I just sent an application to a job vacancy in canada thru an agency then soon after they are sending me application forms, bio-data from Alimentation Couche Tard, the people you mentioned is the same as mine. I got doubts though with the stipulations in the contract that's why I didn't proceed. Then I found your entry here, you just proved my doubts, this is really a scam, thanks for posting.

Hi, do not send any money. I also underwent the same process for a well known company in Canada. These scam artists are intelligent either having been a employee before or just gaining access to information on the internet about the company and using their information and employees names. if a e mail addresses are yahoo or hotmail and not that of the company you know it is a scam. also no company will ask for payment in this way, they would do the payment themselves and claim it from you on arrival. when i confronted the "company" about the payment on e mail i suddenly had no reply and never heard from them again. whatever you do DO NOT send money!
