305 Mbps? I pay $70 a month in Las Cruces and my download speeds are routinely .50 Mbps. Yes, that is a decimal point; it is not a typo. Apparently, it's my fault, even though the modem is new (and mine), the router is new, and the computer is new. One clueless tech after another comes to my house. They have nothing to offer in the way of a solution, certainly not remuneration for my wasted $70 or time lost from work, and then they leave. I wonder what they write in their service log. Comcast doesn't advertise its guarantee on the back of their envelopes anymore. It's amazing what they get away with.
Now it's even less than 0.50. Unbelievable. http://www.speedtest.net/result/2096315695.pn...

I have Comcast for my Internet provider for going on 8 years now and my average download speed runs between 7-10 Mbps. I do have a Comcast cable modem but with a Belkin wireless Router that I bought at Wal-Mart about 2 years ago.
