Regional airlines in the United States, just serve to feed traffic to the majors.
Their success is dependent on bidding the lowest contract. In the USA there is a race to the bottom in this segment of the airline industry.
Sounds like Europe is in for heartbreak and California Pacific may be ahead of the new game as the USA is 5-10 years ahead of the effects of deregulation.

Well Republic Airways Holdings realized that but they totally had botched management to capitalize on this.
MKE was a total fiasco... which cost R A H dearly.
