This is out of control. Pretty soon they will charge if you want a middle seat or to be near the restroom. Where is going to stop!

They should charge an extra $500 a kid under 2 and divvy it up amongst any passenger who can hear it cry.

This is so crazy! I use to work for the airlines and I am so glad I don't anymore. I actually flew this summer and could not believe the xtra charges. The entire airline experience is awful. From the moment you go through security, waiting at the gate for hours cause your flight is delayed, then forced to listen to the'self important' people on their cell phones, babies crying, employees shouting over the pa system and being smashed on an overcrowed airplane with flight crews who are over worked and too tired to care about the passengers. No thanks....I am driving next time!

This needs to stop! Everyone write your congressman and Senator. Have them add a Tax on all addon charges to a flight of 200%. This will cause such an uproar that it will end or if not have Congress and the Senate outlaw them saying only alchaholic beverages can be charged for and only in Coach like it use to be. Also they need to stop any further mergers. There is too little competion which is allowing this to happen. If the airlines object, break them up. Where is our voice. Wake up our representatives. I'm tired of paying them to sleep while this goes on.

The way the airlines are going, I'm surprised anybody subjects themself to it, unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.
Surcharge for this, extra fee for that.
Arrive at least two hours before your flight, and cool your heels waiting in line.
Subjected to the whims of TSA, who paw through the luggage (and helps themselves on occasion, but that's a separate article).
Bumped from a flight because it was overbooked (can't anybody COUNT anymore ??).
And, if we're lucky, herded like cattle onto the plane.
Get to the destination, and the Jet jockey lands on the runway like he was dropping an F-14 onto the flight deck of a carrier.
Rude flight attendants? Sorry, different story. Check the 'reality show'.
Fly the friendly skies? I don't think so, Scooter.
Anything less that 12 hours' drive, I'm opting for driving.

the way the airlines are soaking us, it would probably be cheaper to hire a driver to take you where you wanted to go, if you didn't wish to drive!!

Whenever the government or any good size business gets themselves in a pinch, we, the little guy consumer, gets to pay for it. Sick of it!!!

Can't help noticing, the WPIX article, "Ground Zero Mosque Shock: Pelosi Wants to Investigate Critics," doesn't have a commenting option, AND features an unflattering picture of Nancy Pelosi.
Does channel 8 have NO autonomy? Just happy little clones of Fox News righties, eh? Aren't there ANY lefties on staff to relate with your largely Demogratic audience? Bet the pay is good though.
