What if it was January and it was -25 outside. Most people in this country would die, literally die if we lost power or gas for an extended time. I just upgraded my old woodburner in the basement with a soapstone stove (Patriot Stove in Lakeville) and I can't wait for the first 20 degree day. I even got a federal tax rebate on it cause it burns so clean. You won't see my kids in a shelter begging for food or a blanket from the Red Cross. We as a society need to learn how to take care of ourselves.

Going door to door in Hastings?! Oh, what in-bred activities they will see there.
