Classic - they agree to it to get the deal done and then go back on the terms. Yeah, the Canucks can surely be trusted to have the best interests of our communities in mind...NOT.

Way to really stick your neck out, there, Durbin! Don't actually DO anything about the problem, just issue a watery statement that says absolutely nothing. Typical politician. Maybe if you'd actually done something to stand up for the people who pay your salary BEFORE the deal was finalized, this would all be a non-issue.

Hey Senator Durban, TALK is cheap. How about getting some federal funding for overpasses. I read the US govt. built over 40000 bridges as part an "economic stimulus program", in the 1930s. How many new bridges have YOU brought back to Illinois, Senator Durban?

Now now... he DID do something. He and Melissa Bean worked tirelessly to pass a nanny no-smoking bill that so far has cost the state a couple hundred million to neighboring states. Why? Mainly because our casino business seems to be suffering just a little. And I suspect if you could get truthful numbers, you would find that restaurants and bars (especially bars) are hurting too.

When you say Canucks I sure hope you don't mean Canadians. Hunter Harrison is one of yours and not a Canadian. He's also another fine example of why corprate america is so hated on the world scene. He's been stealing from a CN ever since he took over. The only diffrence between him and Martha Stewart is that asshole hunter hasn't worn the fancy ankle braclet yet. It's reaaly sad that Hunter got his way with the EJ@E but if anyone had bothered to check his track record on what he's done in Canada, they would have found out that he's nothing but a 2 faced liar and cheat. Constantly saying one thing and when he gets his way he changes his tune. Good luck in Chicago.... sure hope someone in the states can snowball this thief.
