I live right next to the tracks. Grow up and deal with it people, the tracks were there LOOONG before any houses were. You all made the choice to move by them.

I've lived a quarter mile from that line for 23 years. Doesn't bother me. Of course I grew up next to the "J" Yards in Joliet.

When one is buying a house ya gotta remember that word "location".

Unsure if a train line is used often? Look at the rails. If they're shiny it's a busy line. If they carry a light rust cast, they're not busy.

jeez people if what to blame someone blame the politicains for allowing developers to put these homes so close to the tracks.. In crest hill the residents of a new subdivision knew about the tracks in their backyard.. and they were blaming the railroad. I have no problem with CN, when i seen the trains.. i know that there are people working and keeping a lot truck traffic off the roads..

I feel the same way -- did anyone buy a house next to RR tracks and actually say "that's okay, I'm sure train traffic will go down in the future". Same thing when buying next to an expressway. Did they think that car traffic would decrease, that no extra lanes could ever possibly be built?

LOL, yes, buy a home by an airport and complain about the planes. Yep the American way. And then the politicans want to put intermodals right in the middle of a neighborhood. All backwards. It think we can blame that on George Bush too, he gets blamed for everything anyway.

I bought with the tracks behind my house in Frankfort i'm not happy about the increse in trains but the $8000.00 to landscape my back yard from the railroad is fine with me. No For Sale sign in my yard i'm here to stay.

I say we blame Obama.

Had he not been elected the economy would have been in a downward spiral, thus causing rail traffic to further slow down as a result.

No, blame the Vikings. They got here first and mounted the original challenge to the pathetic Indians.

George Bush? Who is that? I have not seen him in the past 5 years! The new person (especially in these posts) to blame is Obama - read on.

Transportation is just one piece of king rich daley's iron fisted rule. Metra has become socialized transportation and now they're raising my taxes so that welfare leechers and ILLEGALS can ride around for free while hard working men like me have to pay 6 times what a trip actually costs. IMPEACH daley, stroger BARRY HUSSEIN!!!!!!!!!! OBAMA and vote Tony Pereica into office so things can get back to normal around here
