Group of Point residents rails against CN noise
A group of Point St. Charles residents is gearing up for battle against Canadian National Railway, complaining that noise from trains in a neighbourhood rail yard has worsened in recent years.

It's a railroad switching yard folks. I don't believe that it was any secret that it was there when you chose to live next to it. Do people honestly believe that CN is trying to make more noise to irritate them?
This reminds me of the bunch of Nimbys in the outer Chicago area who wanted to prevent purchase of the EJ&E by the CN which will help to alleviate traffic congestion in the inner Chicago area by providing a bypass for parked or slow moving trains.

Next thing you know they start to complain about the sirens on the fire trucks and police cars.
Wonder who was there first? The homeowner or the RR?
