I heard they were going to pipeline down to East Chicago, Indiana. With the new EJ&E addition to CN, they won't need the pipeline. CN could haul it direct.

Tanker trains of oil were not part of the deal! The STB should put a stop to it right now by voiding the merger! NO to CN! NO, NO, a THOUSAND TIMES NO!

Pipeline is the cheapest way to go in the long run. Building a pipeline=tens of thousands of construction jobs for several years. If CN wants to make money on the deal, they would sell easement to the pipeline company, with a yearly fee. They could run the pipeline parallel to the track all the way back to Canada. CN would make back some of what they paid to US Steel.

Oil prices are going up again. More oil will help keep the price lower. Tanker trains could be set up and running in months. A pipeline would take many years! Where do you NIMBYS get the idea that this is subject to YOUR approval?

We have 3 times the trains then you will ever have with CN, including tanker trains with out any problem. If Barrington NIMBYS want a bridge, no one is stopping you from building it!
