I hope Caremark investors realize what is happening in the company at the employee level.

I cannot believe the way Caremark treats its employees -they lay off many people and keep the money for themselves.

The case was taken to court and Caremark won. It took the jury only a few minutes to reach a verdict.

Are older workers being forced out of CVS now that it is Caremark? Is this a pattern?

What is going on? I know a former CVS employee (after merger) who believes he was forced out after 30 years?

Has anyone seen what is going on in CVS Richardson? My boss there hit me. Also, I was in a meeting and a sexual gesture was made. They cuss and talk down to their employees. Then they elimate your job, so we will not cause any trouble. Are there other employees that are sick of the treatment by management?

Yes I agree that CVS is forcing out the employees that have been there for years and that the way they are going about it is underhanded and sneeky. They are dropping employees from fulltime to part-time status and taking away all of your health benefits and vacation time earned all within a 2 week time frame. Why because you may have fallen below your average of 30 hrs. per week based on a 14 week time frame. There use to be a time when HR would notify your DM who would then notify you so that you would have time to bring up your hours. But now (according to what the DM is saying) they just send the letter straight to your home letting you know you have 2 weeks (within the cut off date included) to file an appeal. But to do this you have to have your Mgr. and your DM file the appeal on your behalf and they must submit it. You on the other hand must come up with a valid reason/reasons written out of why you fell below your 30 hours and if medical get all your documentation from your doctors and then your Mgr. and DM must explain why you should be kept fulltime. So far out of 4 people in my store only one appeal was granted and the employee's benefits reinstated immediately and after a long drawn out battle another appeal was granted w/o benefits for 6 months and sick days after a year. But after talking to a lovely young women at HR services she informed that the mgr can just reinstate you himself and when I asked that question to my mgr. he assured me that that's not how it is done. An appeal must be filed. So if annyone has encountered this situation or has any informatiom to add please feel free to post a comment. But in the mean time how's that for gratitude after working for this company for a great deal of years.

Caremark allowed my wife to have an affair with a coworker ending in my divorce, I lost it all, home kids, on top I am paying $1600 in child support, and all because Caremark did not enforced their non dating among coworkers policy, I guess they forgot to add Dont date the Married ones in their booklet.

According to HR which dating each other is not against company policy for if you are both reps. Now if one person were a supervisor then the supervisor would be fired. There are a lot of caremark couples.

I am a former cvs caremark employee I was working at the miramar branch in florida. I have never been so mistreated in a work place untill then i have been discrminated against harrased and targeted by supervisors. The things that occur on that jobsite is immoral and may even be illegal they are still so many who fuss and complain about there current conditions but are afraid to voice them because they may end up unemployed like me. I wouldn't change a thing that I have done my only reget is not exposing them for who they really are if I knew I was going to be terminated alot of human beings have been treated like animals at that company.

I am currently about to get fired from CVS in Syracuse NY for reasons that would take way to long to explain, but I do not deserve this. I just spoke with Tim Depault about the situation, and after reading this information about him I'm quite nervous! He is the new Regional manager for NY.

Tim DePault is an absolute piece of garbage. I worked with/for him for years at Walgreen's in Boston. Fortunately, this never happened to me personally, but I remember him firing several employees and managers for questionable reasons.
When he didn't like someone, things would suddenly start "happening" with them. There was a manager that was with the company for multiple years that was transferred to the Boston store. He almost immediately told me flat out that he didn't like him at all and would always say things behind his back. He would say OK things - not great, but not bad either - about him to the DM though. I always found that was weird.
Then, all of the sudden, loss prevention fired the guy for money missing from the safe.(I'm paraphrasing, as this was probably 10-12 years ago) After the guy left the building, I heard the LP guy say to Tim that the manager "thought he set up and he offered to take a lie detector test". Tim laughed and said, "Who else took that money then? Is he kidding" Tim was the only person in that morning and he counted the safe.
Then he said the thing that really made me realize what a piece of garbage he is. He then told the LP guy, "You can ask Trask (who was the DM at the time, I've never said anything bad about the kid!" Which, to the DM, he never did. That made made realize exactly why he never bad mouthed him to the DM. It was to cover his behind because he knew he would be canning the kid.

I worked for CVS for almost a year at their new stores in New Mexico. I just recently put in my 2 wks notice due to issues with management. When I was hired I was hired as a shift supervisor but then when the store opened I was told that I wasn't and that all the spots were full. In said ok that fine next time...after that I was promised shift 9 times and everytime getting passed up by some outsider. When I asked my mngr if I was doing something wrong he said no and without me the store would fall to pieces. He also said I was a very valuable asset to the store.I finally had enough when I was past up for manager again and the new person was so under qualified. I worked the swing shift (2 overnights the rest days) and when I worked with him he would literally walk to the front of the store when there was a customer just to call me to the front to take care of them. He never got my name right and when I refused to do his duties cause he was to busy talking to his buddy who came to visit him he got all pissed of and wrote a letter to my manager saying I was disrespecting his authority and refusing to do my job. This guy was a total a** he treated me like shit, when there was a customer and he called me to the front to take care of them my hands were full and I couldn't get to the front so I told him that and he again called me to the front rudely by saying (the wrong name) to get my a** to the front to deal with the customer in front of the customer the customer was so appalled that they dropped their merchandise and walked out saying they will never shop somewhere where the employees are treated so poorly and asked for the store managers name and number. When my manager confronted me about all that I told him the truth and gave him my 2 wks notice unless he did something about the shift manager. He refused so I left. My fiance also works at another CVS in NM is also being screwed...he is a shift manager working 40 hrs a a wk is not getting his fulltime benefits including vacation. and his manager says he doesn't have enough slots yet a girl hired after him as a manager is getting benefits. Also his manager schedules people to work overtime but puts the overtime hrs on the next weeks paycheck and schedules them less that wk to make up the difference. Overall CVS is a horrible company and don't ever work for them...

Aww. Poor baby! Blame it on CVS not your cheating ex-wife. She was looking all along. And found something better!

There is a wave of "older" CVS employee terminations in florida.
Many many many Pharmacists and District managers with 10 years and up are let go --poof--just like that.

There is not "staff development" procedure in place just --poof --I have been told that you have done something...Or here is a something I can get rid of you on.
New of the replacement pharmacists will work cheap--many of them are foreign pharmacists in the US on the program called H- something.

In Florida you can be fired for anything--Anything. Hard to imagine-but so.

I hope all companies that do this suffer from this decision.

It is truly bad and ugly how Caremark is treating Latinos who work there. There is certainly a desire to have white men and women at manager levels and several chosen blacks. But no latinos! If you speak up about the miscommunication in the company, the total disrespect for employees, etc. you are out, especially if you are latino. Not right at all.
