There are more plans announced for CKE to expand Carl's Jr. up to about 19 Western U.S. states and Hardee's up to about 37 Eastern U.S. states, marking CKE to operate a total of over 8,000 restaurants under both "West Coast"-based Carl's Jr. and "St. Louis, Missouri"-based Hardee's in all 50 U.S. states by the end of 2008.
Hardee's will add all of the same menu items as Carl's Jr. around summer 2008, which marks the chain to use the "CHARBROILED BURGERS" name instead of the Thickburger campaign.
