CKE plans to expand Carl's Jr. & Hardee's up to about 50 U.S. states

There are more plans announced that CKE will expand Carl's Jr. up to about 19 Western U.S. states and Hardee's up to about 37 Eastern U.S. states, requiring Hardee's to replace the Thickburger campaign with the "CHARBROILED BURGERS" name by May 25, 2009. Hardee's will add all of the same menu items as Carl's Jr. around May 25, 2009, requiring the chain to adopt the same star logo with the "CHARBROILED BURGERS" name as Carl's Jr., and dropping their Burger Chef trademarks and some original menu items. "The Six Dollar Burger" line of 100% angus beef burgers will be added to Hardee's, for example.
