Scott Lane is one hell of a man. Let's hope Schwartz takes advantage of this opportunity and gets herself clean from drugs.

Smart man. She can't pay restitution from prison. Not that she's likely to anyway, but at least this way he has a chance.

It is so sad that such acts of Christian forgiveness are so rare. But with so many Bible thumpers in SW Ohio, I would think this would happen on a more regular basis..... Maybe they are CHINO's (CHristians In Name Only)

Yeah right. She was probably high as hell in the courtroom. 6 mos. in jail with no meds to help her "ease" off dope would probably be the best thing for her sobriety, but we'll never know.

Keep religion out of this matter. At no point were the victim's religious beliefs brought up. How ignorant it is to assume he shares your beliefs, which, by the way, are filled with contradictions regarding forgiveness (does the whole burning in hell for non-Christians ring a bell?).

Good on you, Mr. Lane. We need more people like you in the world--more people with hearts! People who are willing to help a person get a second chance.

What a great human being. Even though his loss is great, he is still able to forgive. She is very young. I hope this makes a positive difference in her life. Maybe no one else ever has.

This is just further proof that our legal system is all screwed up, that Obama is a radical socialist muslim, and how illegal immigrants are ruining our country. This would never have happened under a Kasich administration. She should have been given the death penalty.

And that's why half of the Voters voted for for Strickland. Because Kasich is a Heartless Monster! And if you still believe President Obama is a Muslem, I truly feel sorry for you.

Wow! She is only lucky young lady. The victim could have just let her get the maximum time allowed under the law. Such compassion is amazing, especially in this day & age.
