It's about time someone other than the independent growers and plant workers are affected by the incredibly bad management practices of Pilgrim. Finally the CEO and COO of a company that goes bankrupt has been fired. The heads of corporations should be held responsible for their companies financial health instead of making up excuses for their mistakes.

It's no small wonder that Pilgrim Pride went bankrupt. While paying growers with new houses and retrofit houses more per pound for their birds, the older growers are forgotten. The older growers are the very people that made this company and Bo Pilgrim. Growers aren't paid for their performance but instead are paid for their equipment. We don't have a performance contract, we have an equipment contract. That is the problem with this company, the incredible price that pay for birds in these new houses just isn't justified. These new houses just don't perform as touted by the company, but Pilgrim wants to shut down older houses even though they are the ones from which the company is making the most money. It defies logic and with logic like that it's no small wonder Pilgrim went bankrupt.
