While Gov. Beebe and others are jumping around having meetings in El Dorado, somebody needs to think about the hundreds of growers cut off by Pilgrim in the last year or so. It is the same situation, they were cut off because they would not spend any more money to redo houses. Pilgrim worked the system to force them out and treated them worse than dirt. Pilgrim knew that this was coming and got rid of them early.
They are in just the same shape as these at El Dorado. They still have loans plus all other bills but no income. Many of them are facing bankruptcy, too. I know several in the area who are in dire situations right now and no relief in sight.

I know of the plight of many growers that were in the fight before the entire situation became full blown. You are absolutely correct and everyone that has just recently been effected should remember the growers that have preceded them. I have been well aware of the dark clouds gathering on the horizon for about 4 years. You could see the ruthless and wreckless behavior of Pilgrim on their climb to the top. Bo Pilgrim began to suck up smaller companies, cutting growers in the process if the profit margin wasn't large enough, in his quest to become the nation's largest poultry company. I still remember Bo saying, "this company would be run on Bible based principles". Somewhere the love of money replaced that idea. BOYCOTT PILGRIM PRIDE products.
