Pilgrims Pride, what a mess they have created. It seems to me that they need to clean house in Atlanta! It appears that if you have enough cash and can offer free Hawaii vacations to Certain people in Atlanta, you can buy all the loads of chicken you can haul! Heck if you did not even bid on loads, all you have to do is haul it a cent cheaper and PP will drop the carriers that are loyal to them and actually won the freight bid, and offer a "mini bid" to any tom dick or harry , wala! new trucking co. on the scene. Old carrier left in the dark. I guess PP lacks severely in the morals and High integrity department. Well justice rides a slow horse sometimes. PP what goes around comes around. so your day will come.

Seem as if growers aren't the only ones that Pilgrim Pride isn't loyal to.

I know someone who just got fired last week for excessive absences (we work on a point system and usually fired when we accumulate 7 points). The woman had 4.5 points, she is a single parent trying to survive in this economy. Some people overheard her supervisor telling some other supervisors that she had no choice because HER supervisor told her to get rid of this woman because she had people from the Dalton plant, that is closing, that she wanted to bring with her to the Ellijay plant. This has been done in other departments and even to the plant manager, where they got demoted to lower positions just to make room for the Dalton plant workers. Although I feel bad for those in Dalton, I don't think it is right to do this to employees that have worked at the Ellijay plant for many years. Talk about unfair hiring practices, that is Pilgrims Pride.

PP ruined a good company when they bought out Goldkist. For 5 years I provided them good service at a fair price then PP comes along. Bidding is just a formality they said. Nothing will change. Liars! Guess if I had dropped to my knees and serviced Cody like some I'd still be working there. And forget about actually speaking to someone. Everything is done by email and fax. Good luck trying solve a complicated problem that way. Guess I was lucky thought considering they went bankrupt.
