I bet Charter loses a lot of customers after this. What an invasion of privacy!

Firefox users: be aware that the charter page to opt-out is https://connect.charter.com/cas/portal/settin... and that Firefox 2.0.0.14 (the latest) STILL doesn't properly process ASPX files (see http://www.google.com/search... ).
Call charter support and you'll eventually hear something from one of their drones that very closely rhymes with "you're $h¡† outta luck". The page is supposed to set a cookie telling everyone else to leave you alone. Otherwise it will specially select ads that you'll see, based upon your browsing history. |
|
Everyone please note: Just because you opt-out does not mean you are not being tracked. The opt-out is only for the targeted adverts. The data is still being collected on you surfing!
