Like others on this site, I'm tired of Charter's attitude. I just aquired the Domain Name ScrewCharter.com . Within the next 2 weeks, we will begin registering Charter customers. If you feel you have a cause for action, we will be seeking legal counsel after the first 10,000 registrations. The purpose of the site is to make Charter listen to customer complaints. Please check www.chartersucks.com (up soon) and register. Let's show them just what poor customer service can cost them...

Hey - with Charters incapable customer service folks, and consistently poor cable in our area, I did the same thing in early September. It appears this is the only way to obtain service. My site is up and running. www.oh-no-u812.com

Cable is king because Bellsouth didn't see the writing on the wall and got lazy with its lines and R&D. There is no option to Comcast or Charter and it will be 4 -6 years before the big telco's can match there speed...The entire issue is a mess...So your choice is bad service and speed or big telco that completely doesn't give a shit...You choose...

I couldn't agree more with people who hate Charter. I've got about 50 people I know would love to sign a petition against these morons. What's the word on the www.chartersucks.com website? I can't get to it.... maybe Charter is blocking me from getting to it :)

No Charter is not blocking Angry Customer's site, there is no site. Wonder what the delay is?

Charter's structure closly resembles that of small Caribbean Islands or some third wirld countries. If you get a bad governor, you're stuck with crap for years or at least until the next election (or hostile takeover).

I know there are Charter offices that provide exceptional service and care about their customers (there has to be), just don't know where they are.

There has to be a way to band customers together to somehow get Charter to respond. I moved 6 months ago and requested a service tranfer and problems have been mindnumbing since. I have spent over 15 hours(total) on the phone and over 12 hours(total) waiting on techs who don't show. I called ATT to check on DSL and got the same runaround just trying to sign up for a new account as I am getting from Charter to get my account right - so I am not going to open a new can of sh!t. What in the hell can a powerless consumer do with no other choices - and people wonder why a person would go postal.

I called in to Charter to pay my bill. I checked my account a few days later and they not only debited my amount but another customers amount. This caused me to incurr fees on my checking account and put me in major financial hardship. It took Charter 2 weeks to get me the money back. I have been working with Michael Henry COMPLETE IDIOT!!! I think he needs permission to wipe his ass. He claims he is the highest person in Charter. If that is so that explains the service we all are getting.

I UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYIN I JUST RECENTLY MOVED ONLY 4 MILES FROM WHERE I WAS. AND IT TOOK THEM 3 WEEKS TO CHANGE MY CABLE AFTER THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE AT MY HOUSE 3 TIMES.NO THEY DIDNT I WAS THERE FOR EVERY APT THAT WAS SET. NOW THEY HAVE ME WITH A $585.00 BILL ALL FOR ONLY HAVING BASIC CABLE FOR 5 MONTHS AND THE 100.00 PAYMENT THAT WAS MADE WAS NOT APPLIED TO MY ACCT.SO I STOPPED MAKING PAYMENTS AND UNTIL THEY ADJUST MY BILL I WONT MAKE ANOTHER ONE THEY CAN SHUT ME OFF. I DONT CARE ANYMORE. YOU CANT UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER SERVICE OR THEY DONT CARE.ITS THERE JOB BUT THEY DONT DO IT WELL.THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 5 MONTHS OF THE WORSE SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD.AND IM THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT IF SOMETHINGS NOT WORKING YOU GET RID OF IT. ILL GO SATALITE. NO HASSLES. CHARTER HAS 2 OF MY BROTHERS 1 OF MY COUSINS AND MYSELF UPSET WITH THERE SERVICE.AND WE WONT EVENGO INTO HOW MANY FRIENDS. Check compatitors, and quit charter, this is what I did.

What about people that rent and can't get Dish or Directv? Cancelling my service is not an option. I don't get good reception with an antenna, so even though I don't like Charter I'm stuck with them.

I do not even now where to begin with Charter. I had received a promotion for cable, phone and internet, which was suppose to be only 69.00/month. Well for the last FIVE months they have been charging me separately for each service, totaling around 400/month. So you call and call and call and get NO WHERE. The customer service is horrible. When I thought my problem was solved the next bill I would find out it was not. I have probably talked to over 30 different customer service reps, countless Supervisors and even went to Corporate office. I was NOT able to get any explanations, no apologies, no HELP. I have had people hang up on me, put me on hold for 30 minutes without even telling me to hold on THEY WOULD JUST PUT ME ON HOLD IN THE MIDDLE OF ME TALKING. They would tell me that there was no such promotion, BUT THEY ARE THE ONES WHO OFFERED IT TO ME. I can not stress how unprofessional they are. I still owe them money, but they can not seem to get the CORRECT amount right. I am so frustrated. I ERGUE ALL TO NEVER NEVER USE CHARTER.

The same thing happened to me. I had signed up for a package that included cable, internet and phone. When I got my first bill it was almost $300 because they didn't put me in the promotion that I asked for, when I called them they wouldnt correct their mistake. Charter put me on hold several times so I was on the phone over 2 hours two days in a row. I was so upset that I disconnected all of my services but I decided to reconnect because I'm a renter and can't get Dish or Directv. I'll be switching my service to my phone company. Well, all my services except Dish. But I wouldn't recommend Charter to anyone.
