Help! I live in an area where there are lines right down the street but when I call for service they say my area is unavailable. How do I get charter to install cable lines in my neighborhood? They lease from comcast so do they have to do it. When I call customer service they are clueless and have no idea what I'm talking about. They just say I'm out of luck. Any Help!?

I have lived in the area I am in for almost 5 years - we are forced to have Dishnetwork and Wild blue due to Charter stopping 2 miles up the road! I call every year to see if they have ANY idea when we will get Charter out here - I called today and got the same answer I have received 4 other times - "We don't go out that far and don't have any idea when we will" There aren't any less people in the area I am in than there are 2 miles away from me!

I've lived in my house for almost the last three years. I have not been able to get charter to my neighborhood either. I have a friend a 1/2 mile down the street that says the line stops catty-corner to his driveway. I am forced to use directv, but am not able to use their on demand services because you need a high speed connection which satellite doesn't offer. So, I'm stuck with a 3g wi-fi card that is luckily unlimited, but still spotty at times. How can I get Charter to help me and my neighbors?

We live in a neighborhood with Charter access however our house and our neighbor do not have lines to our houses. The nearest neighbor with Charter is 500 feet away. We were told when we called Charter that it would cost $7 a linear foot times 2000 feet(to the nearest place where a connection can be made) which would be $14,000 to have Charter at our house. Is this really possible???? We have Ace Communications DSL and experience dropped internet connections every 10 minutes. We need a solution for internet and TV at some point. It is so frustrating to see our next door neighbor with Charter and we can't get it because we can't pay $14,000. Please help!
Thanks,
Terry

I have really slow Satelite Internet right now and when I went into my local charter they said my address was serviceable, and then when they came out to the house they then said it wasn't serviceable anymore, possibly cuz it was too far from the main road. Is there any possibility of them being able to get me serviceable in the near future or anything?

Dear Charter,
I live on a road that is less than 5 miles from one of your headquarter locations. Every road around us except ours has access to your services for miles and miles. Everytime I contact charter, I can't get a reasonable answer as to why we still don't have service down our mile stretch with almost 20 homes. Please help!!

Thanks for reaching out to our team. I'm sorry to say, but Charter does not have services on this street currently. If you would be interested in knowing the cost for running lines into the area the address to the local office and hours is listed below. They will be able to schedule a contractor come out to provide estimates for you. We definitely appreciate you reaching out to us before your move.

This is the answer I got after asking if our subdivision would be getting cable at my newly built house. Charter is in the subdivision directly across the street from us a 2 lane road. It's really kinda arrogant Ashton Beck to say they would give me an estimate like I would pay to have it ran and then pay a monthly fee.

I live in Taylors/Tigerville s.c. Our house is less than 1 mile from a Charter connection. I inquire every year about possible service. I have been quoted $14,000. Really?? I thought the rep was joking for a moment. Had Hughesnet, but it was slow with data caps. Charter needs more competition...

WONDER? DOESN'T CHARTER WANT ANY NEW BUSINESS. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET CHARTER SERVICE IN MY AREA ASWELL. WORKED WITH A CHARTER ENGINEER - BUT THE PRICE OF INSTALLING CABLE PER MYSELF AND NEIGHBORS GOT TO EXPENSIVE. DOESn'T IT TAKE MONEY TO MAKE MONEY? IN TIME CHARTER WILL GET A RETURN ON THERE MONEY FOR INSTALLATION. WE AS NEIGHBORS NEVER PAID FOR OTHER ULITIES -- WHY DO WE HAVE TO GO BROKE PAYING FOR CABLE?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

There is new Charter fiber line 750ft away. Buried utility lines in my neighborhood is the reason they will will not service our 50 plus homes. Can I dig the trench myself? Buy the line myself? I'm serious.
