I recently,as of last year became the owner of 160 acres of property in Oklahoma. It was bought from my great grandfather in 1932.Chesapeake energy fraudulants have been taking natural gas off this property...without ever contacting me since 1996. Thay gave me a check for $932.00 dollars. I am very pissed off and I have not got a single cent. Oklahoma robbs people...they are fascists and everything belongs to the commisions debt...down right illegal!!!!

What can someone like me do about them stealing from me, and lieing, and having a State such as Oklahoma FORCE POOL my property and take away my human rights? How would you feel if Chesapeake took your property away from you and you had no voice and anyone to bother listening to you?

This is in reply to both of your posts. You are right about the fascist. According to Merimum Webster, fascism is authoritian, dictatorial, and strong right wing. This is the type of government that we endured for the past 8 years. As the Oklahoma state congress is controlled by the right wing party, this is what you get. They always favor big business over the individual. Chesapeake and all oil/gas explorers know that there is little to nothing that an individual can do about a small amount and they have a license to steal. I'm still trying to clear up a small theft from me, but the person handling this at Chesapeake has been dodging all my e-mails and phone calls for over two weeks. Until the people of Oklahoma quit believing the right wing rhetoric the state belongs to big business. |

Thanks, Travis 3 you may not realize this but you are the first,to even make me think someone understands about how corrupt the beaucracy is over there, and I prey for the best to come your way; literally , I am your friend. And I hope we can find someone who will not " bend over smiling at chesapeake company" and say: " THANK YOU SIR- MAY I HAVE ANOTHER"!!!. May they all be laughed at one day, for being the worst form of human beings to wear jesus and the cross around their necks ( which they don't ) and be dead broke!

Since they owed you money since 1996, you may be entitled to late payment interest if Oklahoma has not exempted them from it. They will not pay unless you request it. That way they can beat all out of it that don't request. Call the Chesapeake line at 1-877-245-1427 select option 3 and ask for information on where to send your request for the late payment interest. Be sure to have your owner number ready when you call. |

Well, I just received an e-mail from revenue inquiry. It seems that the Hickson Energy Corp. story covering 29 months of royalty payments that I never received was false. Now they say that the debit of my royalty funs covers a gas price discreptancy from June 2008 through January 2009. I requested proof that the price that they are now paying me is the price that Chesapeake received. No response yet and no rayalty check in July. I still smell a rat!

We are being taken here in Texas because Chesapeake is not paying the same amount as other companies such as EOG, XTO and others. They will not return calls or answer E-mails. Anyone else seeing the same thing happening?

Sounds like a tactic of a not so popular political party. Stall and delay, delay, delay. They hope you will go away. Contact TAMI HUNTER at (tami.hunter@chk.com). If you shame her enough, she'll come up with some kind of answer, but it probably won't make logical sense. I have found that perserverance pays off if you have the fortitude for it. |

I have not gotten a royalty check for 2 months now and according to the production figures on the Railroad Commission website, I should have one. When I first inquired, Chesapeake said the production was too small to cut a check for. Bull you know what. In addition, on a subsequent call, I was told that "they" (Chesapeake) had not been paid by the company that purchased the gas from them.I spoke with other royalty owners on the same lease and they have not been paid either. Head Revenue gave a "pat" answer about this situation and hung up.
I think Mr.McClendon believes he's running a private company and can do as he pleases about what he pays, what he reports and so on. As you know, it's a public company and that has a different set of consequences for not following the reporting requirements. Hopefully the Total deal will get people paid and make Chesapeake more accountable to them and the SEC. P.S. I got the same, "You were overpaid" response on a check earlier in the year.

You started producing gas from our well in August. I would like to know when we will begin receiving royalties.
|
|
|
United States |
In Arkansas we get paid royalties by each company that has an interest in the section. Every month Cheasapeake pays less per mcf than any other company. Southwestern, XTO, and BP all sell gas for roughly the same amount. Take November for example, while the others sold gas within a dime of $3.65, Cheasapeake sold gas for $2.88. Our royalties come from the price they sell the gas for. Cheasapeake is selling gas at a low cost to a company they have an interest in. For average wellhead price check out the following website http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/ngw/ngupdat...
While the other companies are all close to the average wellhead price, Cheasapeake is ALWAYS well below. |
